Meet Lakshmi!
The goddess (energy) that I once pushed away, thinking that she was so ‘nonspiritual’ and an icon for things I regard as causes of much unnecessary suffering in this world (beauty ideals, capitalism, consumerism and the glorification of the success ladder), but who - as it turns out - is none of those things. Rather, as I have come to see it, the embodiment of Lakshmi’s wisdom and qualities is the antidote we desperately need if we want to live a truly fulfilling life while also leaving this planet livable for future generations.
The Beauty of Reciprocity
It has been said that to see with the eyes of Lakshmi is to see beauty everywhere (not only in the limited cultural ideas about beauty). And truly, though she is famous for offering worldly boons, her biggest gift is perhaps santosha (contentment) - a sweet sensation of sufficiency and inner abundance - and the gift of realizing your intrinsic value and the sacred pillar of reciprocity upon which the world rests.
A Glimpse into the Portal
In this self-paced Self-study Course & Lakshmi Sadhana you will get insight into the goddess’s light and shadow and how it plays out in your own life; you will get to hear some of her myths, and get to know her through some of her many names and through the symbolism of her anthropomorphic form.
The course consists of eight videos (average 25 min), a *sadhana, journal prompts for contemplation, and off-the-cushion practices to bring Lakshmi to all areas of your life.
*Sadhana (lit. a means of accomplishing something) is a daily spiritual practice.
